What is Aciclovir?
Aciclovir eye ointment is used for Herpes simplex virus infections, Skin infection, Mucous membrane infection, Immunocompromised patients, Chickenpox, Initial episodes of herpes genitalis, Herpes simplex encephalitis, Neonatal herpes simplex virus infection and other conditions. Acyclovir eye ointment may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Acyclovir eye ointment contains Acyclovir as an active ingredient.
Acyclovir eye ointment works by inhibiting and inactivating HSV-specific DNA polymerases that prevent viral DNA synthesis.

Aciclovir eye ointment is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:

• Herpes simplex virus infections
• Skin infection
• Mucous membrane infection
• Immunocompromised patients
• Chickenpox
• Initial episodes of herpes genitalis
• Herpes simplex encephalitis
• Neonatal herpes simplex virus infection
