SEFAM PL 5/10 Working, Mechanism of Action and Pharmacology
SEFAM PL 5/10 improves the patients condition by performing the following functions:
Perindopril Arginine-angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) inhibitor:

• Perindopril Arginine competitively inhibits the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II (a potent endogenous vasoconstrictor) and the bradykinin metabolism; these actions cause dilation of the blood vessels.
• It also inhibits the secretion of aldosterone induced by angiotensin II, which promotes the excretion of sodium and water.

Amlodipine-calcium channel blocker (CCB):

• Amlodipine prevents calcium from entering certain tissues and arteries, causing them to relax.
• As a result, blood can flow more easily to your heart, which in turn helps lower blood pressure.
