Talk to your pharmacist if you have questions about this information Tazarotene gel is for external use only.Apply tazarotene gel using a thin film to cover the lesion only.If a bath or shower is taken before applying tazarotene gel, make sure that the skin is dry before applying tazarotene gel.Do not allow tazarotene gel to come into contact with unaffected skin. Wash your hands immediately after using tazarotene gel, unless you have psoriasis on your hands.

If you miss a dose of tazarotene gel, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.If your symptoms do not get better within 4 weeks or if they get worse, check with your doctor.Avoid getting tazarotene gel in your eyes, nose, mouth, or on healthy skin.

If you get tazarotene gel in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.Do NOT take more than the recommended dose or use for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
